The speed of your server in conjuction with our 1 gigabit pipe makes it an extremely fast web product. Plus each High School's COOP room was given one brand new Pentium and one new HP laser printer
The reliability of your server, it simply (almost) never goes down.
Updates to the MTEL web software are seamless...and the updates are generally effective right away.
MTEL support from Mike (Xynapse programmer) is excellent.
The COOP and ADMIN reports that can be generated are extremely impressive and valuable.
Marcy Cooper's OCCDSB MTEL manual clearly explains (with graphics) and details all aspects of the MTEL progam. From there we can copy and paste answers to questions from teachers very easily
And most importantly the importing of archived PPLPs is the most impressive function and time saver. I think when a new board comes aboard they should get copies of standard well done archived PPLPs*... as this is the biggest road block at first. They simply, at the beginning don't believe that it will save them time as they are creating the PPLP"s from scratch ( hours per PPLP) When they import them ( 20 seconds later) they explode with joy !!

The new MTEL program looks fantastic, is way more efficient and will definitely save the teachers a great deal of time. As well I've introduced it to 4 other teachers. They all like it, especially how the program remembers what you've previously typed in. Excellent !!!!

User-Friendly System

"My tasks as a job coach require me to set up various experiential learning opportunities. Specifically work experience linked to the GLD2O. I have had access to the MTEL system for the past few months. My overall impression of the system has been favourable. It is a very user-friendly system. Once you become familiar with the main menu, the tasks are very easy to complete. The fact that information could be transferred from one section of a student's file to another was a huge time saver. Managing the various files was not difficult at all. Getting to know the various technical applications was made easy through the use of the help menu. I will recommend the use of this system to my colleagues."
